PILANI: Networking major Cisco Systems Inc is planning to expand its Indian development centre at Bangalore in order to tap India's large talent pool.

"We will increase our presence in India. In terms of expansion, our focus is on the engineering side. We believe that there is an opportunity globally for us as well as for Cisco India and the relationship with consultant companies to grow," Chief Development Officer, Cisco Systems Inc, Mario Mazzola told PTI.

He did not say how many people would be recruited. "It depends on how business would evolve."

"For the reason of talent pool and experience, we consider our side in Bangalore as one of the major facilities and we do not see any difference between our centres in North Carolina and Massachusetts, and Bangalore", Mazzola said.

If the company continues to grow, we would like to expand the Bangalore centre," he added.
