JERUSALEM/BANGALORE:France based business performance management vendor, Cartesis, has signed a multi-million dollar offshore contract with Israel-based Ness Technologies to start a Research and Development (R&D) facility in Bangalore.

Under the terms of the three-year deal, Ness Technologies, a provider of information technology solutions and services, will establish an R&D center at its facilities in the southern Indian city. The new center, named Cartesis Bangalore Product Group (BPG), will complement Cartesis' existing R&D resources located in Paris and London.

The Bangalore facility will provide the leading business performance management (BPM) specialist with additional product development, testing, professional services and support, the daily reported.

According to Ness Technologies' Managed Strategic Services President, Shashank Samant, Ness was leveraging its knowledge of product lifecycle management and its offshore process capabilities to help Cartesis expand its development capacity and shorten delivery cycles.

Cartesis, which has offices in Brussels, Frankfurt, London, Norwalk, Tokyo and Utrecht, claims to serve one in five companies in the Fortune Global 100 list and over 30 percent of Europe's Top 100 as part of its client portfolio.
