CMC net profit in Q4 soars

MUMBAI: CMC Ltd has posted a profit after tax of Rs 20.53 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2004 as compared to Rs 13.81 crore in the quarter ended March 31, 2003.
Revenue has increased from Rs 240.28 crore in MQ-03 to Rs 218.73 crore million in the quarter ended March 31, 2004.
The company has posted a profit after tax of Rs 47.98 crore for the year ended March 31, 2004 as compared to Rs 37.05 crore in the year ended March 31, 2003. Revenue has increased from Rs 614.73 crore in FY-03 to Rs 763.67 crore in the financial year ended March 31, 2004.
The consolidated results are as follows:
The Group has posted a profit after tax of Rs 20.82 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2004. Revenue for the quarter ended March 31, 2004 is Rs 227.05 crore.
The Group has posted a profit after tax of Rs 44.76 crore for the year ended March 31, 2004 as compared to Rs 36.36 crore in the year ended March 31, 2003. Revenue has increased from Rs 679.09 crore in FY-03 to Rs 801.74 crore in the financial year ended March 31, 2004.
The Board has recommended a dividend of 55% on equity shares of Rs 10 each for the year ended March 31, 2004. AGM will be held on July 30, 2004.
