BANGALORE: Networked digital lifestyle devices provider BenQ announced on Wednesday that it would be expanding its Indian operation by creating a new division Digital Media which will focus on growing its marketshare in corporate and government segments. Vishal Sriwastv has been appointed as the Business Head of this new initiative. The Digital Media portfolio includes digital projectors, LCD panels, plasma displays and joy books (laptops), a company statement said. While the company is launching new product categories such as LCD TVs (15" and 20") this month and joy books in January, it is also increasing its product range for digital projectors from two to a portfolio of six. In a move that increases BenQ's penetration into the north Indian markets, the company has appointed Savi Vision as the distributor for its range of projectors, it said.
