BSNL announces special plans for paramilitary personnel

New Delhi: State-run telecom company is bullish on its enterprise segment and has set a target of Rs 3,202 crore from it during the current financial year. "Our scheme launched today for paramilitary jawans is part of Enterprise business division. We expect revenue of this segment to reach Rs 3202 crore in FY'12," RK Upadhyay, chairman and managing director, of BSNL said, He was speaking on the sidelines of a function to announce special tariff plans for paramilitary forces. The two plans announced by the company will offer paramilitary personnel free talk time for 20 minutes on any two BSNL numbers throughout the country. This facility will be available free of cost even on roaming. "Jawans at some locations cannot go to their homes even in emergency situations because the road connectivity is blocked. Phone is the the only medium they connect with their family.
