BHEL bags 210 M captive power plant order

State-owned engineering major Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has bagged a 210 million order from Gujarat Ambuja Cements Ltd to install steam turbine generator at a captive power plant.

NEW DELHI: The 30MW captive power plant is being set up at Gujarat Ambuja's cement factory at Ropar in Punjab, according to a BHEL statement Tuesday. Gujarat Ambuja placed an order for two 15 MW steam turbine generator sets for a 30 MW captive power plant at its Ropar cement factory near Chandigarh. "The captive power plant will meet the entire power requirement of this cement unit," the statement said.
