Assystem plans to expand its employee base in India

With the inauguration of its new extended facility in Bangalore, Assystem, an innovation and engineering consultancy, is planning to expand in the country over the next two years. Assystem plans to double its headcount in the country to 400-500 over the next two to three years, reports Deccan Herald. This would make India the third largest subsidiary in terms of workforce after France and Germany. The company is all set to declare its first quarter results for FY11 on Thursday. Assystem India is the wholly owned subsidiary of Assystem, an engineering consultancy both in the aerospace and the nuclear industry in Europe. David Bradley, Executive Vice President and Member of the Management Board of Assystem, said "we are bringing our first-class expertise to Indian customers, leveraging our growing presence locally. Today, Assystem India primarily addresses the needs of our global customers and should be able to provide leading companies in India with the same unmatched skills and experience." "We expect to keep pace with Indian market," said Javaji Munirathnam, Assystem India Managing Director. Assystem India brings with it global expertise of Assystem to Indian engineering companies primarily in aerospace, automotive, energy and naval/defence sectors.
