Soota introduced his team and affirmed Vikram Gulati as the CEO and Managing Director of the Company. The company has as many as 12 co-founders and all these 12 will serve as executive council members, he added. Soota takes along old members for his new team. The 12 member team includes seven senior executives of Mindtree, including Soota himself, other three are from Wipro and one is from Infosys. The CEO Vikram Gulati is a former Wipro official and most recently led Nasdaq-listed Intelligroup. The co-CEOs of the IT services business Ramakanth Desai and Puneet Jetli were with Wipro and MindTree previously. The other founders are Salil Godika, Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer and industry group head, Dattatri Salagame, COO - IT services business, Joseph Anantharaju, CEO, software products engineering business, Aurobinda Nanda, COO, software products engineering business, Raja Shanmugam, CPO, all these were with MindTree previously. With S.R. Gopalan as its only independent director, the company is starting off with a 55,000 sq ft office in electronics city. About 60 people have already been hired. As the company aims to achieve the $100 million revenue mark in less than 6 years, it will need 2,000-3,000 people in the next 3-4 years. Gulati said that the company looks to differentiate itself by focusing on emerging technologies and includes focused solutions in areas like supply chain. But established players have been working on these emerging technologies and have about a 2-year advantage over Happiest Minds. With the proliferation of new emerging technologies, the next generation IT services will require an integrated approach to deliver business solutions, Gulati added.
