Bangalore: After Steve Jobs departure, Apple has challenges of retaining its most talented hands. In pre-text of that, Apple has given $60 million restricted-stock grants to most of its senior VPs. Apple is in the midst of wrapping up a landmark year right now, managing to push past $100 billion in revenue for the first time in the company's history. The top executives are responsible for the over whelming achievement. The Mac-maker company is handing out one million shares of stock to all seven key senior VPs. Scott Forstall is the senior vice president of iOS Software at Apple Inc. He came over from NeXT when it was purchased by Apple in 1997 and is regarded as one of the original architects of the Mac OS X operating system as well as the Aqua user interface. He was promoted to Senior Director in January 2003. In 2006 Forstall became responsible for Mac OS X releases after Avadis Tevanian stepped down as the company's Chief Software Technology Officer and before being named senior vice president of iPhone software. Now Scott Forstall has got 150,000 in stock options worth an estimated $60 million.
