MUMBAI: Reliance Industries vice chairman Anil Ambani said he would contribute 10 million to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund for helping rehabilitate the victims of Sunday's tidal fury.

"Yesterday was a traumatic day in the history of the world, especially Asia," Anil told media persons before walking in to the company headquarters for a key company board meeting here.

"My heart goes out to all those people who are suffering," he added.

"As an Indian and a member of parliament, I would like to announce my own token contribution of 10 million ($220,000) to the Prime Minister Relief Fund."
