Amazon cloud disruption hits several websites

Bangalore: Amazon web services, one of the leading computation service provider began experiencing errors since on 20th April. It disrupted the services of leading social networking websites. Websites of customers utilizing AWS US-East resources Engine Yard, Foursquare, Hootsuite, Heroku, Quora, and Reddit suffered due to the technical difficulty. Reddit displayed a notice saying is in 'emergency read-only mode' right now because Amazon is experiencing degradation. Foursquare, one of the best-known location-based social services from which users can "check in" or broadcast their locations to friends, said it was experiencing technical difficulties as a result of Amazon's service. Hootsuite, and Quora displayed similar messages and Heroku remained inaccessible. According to Amazon's status page it experienced latency problems and other errors. The company said it was dealing with capacity issues amid a flood of queries and information. However it is in recovery stage now. Hours after the technical disruotion Quora's homepage said the site was down but should be back up shortly. Foursquare's website displayed a message saying ?everything looking to be getting back to normal now." Experts have come to warn Amazon.com from strong and sophisticated hackers and implement strong security that is easy to use. This disruption has diverted everyone?s attention towards issues like security, privacy and reliability.
