Amazing Women Whom You Never Known

2. C. Vivian Stringer:

Charlaine Vivian Stringer is a well known African American basketball coach and she has one of the best records in the history of women’s basketball as she has the credit of leading three college basketball teams to NCAA championship games. At present, she is serving as the head coach of the Rutgers University women’s basketball team. Recently, she has also the credit of becoming the third women basketball coach in the history to have won 800 career games. Though she has achieved so many for her credit, she has also shared equal amount of hardship at the same time. This difficult time started when, Don Imus the radio jock said some insulting and racist statements against Stringer’s Rutgers players during the 2007 NCAA women’s basketball finals. Stringer was ready to take him on for those statements as in one of her television interview; she said that she was angry for those hurtful statements that were made. She also said that, no one can make you feel inferior unless you allow them to do and you shouldn’t allow other people to steal your joy at any cost.
