The girl with green and blue eye, born in Mangalore, made the year 1994 a memorable year for all the Indians, when she became the Miss India and she bagged the prestigious crown of Miss World at the same year. She is not only loved by the Indians but at the same time she gives tough competition to international beauty too. She is known as the most beautiful woman in the world.
She came into limelight with the garden sari and the Pepsi ad and soon after her victory in the Miss World pageant she entered to the Indian cinema. Aishwarya Rai made her acting debut in Mani Ratnam's Tamil film Iruvar in 1997. Her initial years in Indian cinema did not kick start that well however she was quick to pick the pace and adapt to the norms of bollywood with movies like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam,Devdas, Jodha Akbar, Dhoom 2, Guru, Raavan. Her performance in Hum Dil De chuke Sanam and Devdas won her Film Fare Award for best actress. Her latest film Enthiran (Robot), with Tamil super star Rajnikanth was a super hit and it was loved by the huge range of audience. She has been an aspiration for lot of Hollywood directors and producers, and she was fortunate enough to work in Pink panther 2.
