Acer launches Android Froyo-powered "Acer Liquid Metal" @ 20,990

Bangalore: Acer has launched its new smartphone Android Froyo-powered Acer Liquid Metal in India at 20,990. Unlike its earlier releases like the Ferrari-branded and Acer Liquid E, the pricing of Acer Liquid Metal seems to be more realistic. With an elliptical shape, Acer Liquid Metal's front is black plastic with a 3.6 inch capacitive 800 x 480 display. There are four touch keys (home, search, back and menu) below it. It has got an 800 MHz Scorpion processor plus Adreno 205 GPU (Qualcomm MSM 7230 chipset), 512 MB of RAM and ROM, and up to 32GB storage with microSD expandability. Its back has a steel plate covering the battery, with a 5 megapixel camera with a flash above it. The device has support for HSDPA (where available), and Dolby Mobile sound for music. The Liquid comes with Acer's own interface (called Breeze). Acer has also bundled a SocialJogger networking tool with its Breeze UI. It has a high-speed 3G connectivity, Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity.
