BANGALORE: Acer India on Thursday forayed into the enterprise storage solutions space, launching a range of storage products and said it was aiming at Rs 38 crore sales, which translates into seven per cent of an estimated Rs 650 crore Indian market, in the current calendar year. The wholly-owned subsidiary of Acer Computer International Limited launched storage networking infrastructure solution, Acer Storage Centre, for storage virtualisation, provisioning and management targeted at SMEs and large enterprises. The company said the entry-level storage solution would be available from Rs 10 lakh onwards. "Acer is providing cutting edge flexible storage solutions with several key benefits that can be customised to specific needs of customers. The solutions dramatically simplify storage management", said Acer GM (sales and marketing) Harish Kohli. Company officials said Acer storage solutions are based on a building block approach and being 'extremely flexible', can be built around SCSI or FC storage solutions, without limiting the offering of future technologies.
