BANGALORE: Accenture has appointed Harsh Manglik chairman and managing director for its operations in India. Manglik will be Accenture’s senior leader in India, responsible for the growth and development of its business across all of the company’s Indian operations.

Manglik has more than 25 years of experience as a global business and consulting leader. Prior to this he was with Symantec Corporation, based in the United States, where he was worldwide vice president, Services Solutions Engineering, responsible for the development of the company’s new service offerings.
He has also worked with IBM Global Services for nearly 10 years in U.S., Asia-Pacific and global leadership roles.

“This is a highly significant appointment for Accenture in India,” said Stephen Rohleder, Accenture’s chief operating officer. “Harsh has a great track record, which has been built on his vast experience as a leader in business and consulting around the world. His addition to our already strong leadership team in India will enable us to build on our momentum and significantly strengthen our position in the Indian market.”

"I am truly honored to be appointed chairman and managing director for Accenture in India. The company has a remarkable culture, combining innovation, teamwork, and global scale to deliver high performance to our clients. We have an unprecedented opportunity ahead of us which we need to leverage,” he said.

Manglik graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur and also holds an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
