In October 2010, when Julian was offered a place in Instagram, he denied it by saying that he was not interested and was rather working on his own application. Justifying his decision Julian says on Quora “I don't regret a thing. You realize a lot of things about yourself (how content you are with your current situation, how hard you're working, where you want to be in the next few years, etc) when things like this happen."
