7. Enhanced Task Manager

Till now, the Task Manager was generally used only to stop the non-responsive apps or to know the CPU and memory utilization. In Windows 8 the Task Manager has been improved to cater both the basic and advanced users. Now all you see in Task Manager is a list of running apps, which has been put in default. This helps the basic users who want to close non-responsive programs.

On the other hand, there are a lot of information available on Task Manager for the advanced users. Other than the usual CPU and memory utilization, there is an App History List that shows all the apps used on the PC. The user can also make out how much network data is used by each app. This helps those who monitor their Internet usage on volume-based plans.
