Nissan Terrano: Based on the Renault Duster platform, Nissan came out with a sporty looking urban SUV known as the Terrano, which went on to record 6,000 
pre-bookings much before its launch in the month of October 2013. The latest entrant to the SUV segment, the Terrano has already made waves by being one of the most preferred in its class with not only decent looks and features list, but also with one of the most dependable platforms. The Nissan Terrano is available in both petrol and diesel variants. The diesel version is powered by the same 1.5-litre dCi engine, which powers the Duster, and will be available in two different grades–the 85bhp base variant and 110bhp for the top-end version. Similarly, the petrol XL variant gets the 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine that power out 102bhp and 145Nm of torque. This compact crossover is devised to compete with the Renault Duster, Ford EcoSport, Mahindra XUV500, Tata Safari Storme, and Mahindra Scorpio in its segment.
