4. Interviewstreet

Founder: Vivek Ravisankar, ex-employee

Interviewstreet is an information technology startup company which was started by Vivek Ravisankar with his friend Harishankaran as a college project in NIT, Trichy. It started as a platform for conducting mock interviews for students to help them in campus placements. Vivek got placed by Amazon but continued working on this in free time. In July 2009, he quit his job and sought mentorship from The Morpheus, a Chandigarh-based seed fund.

Now their business model is helping companies to recruit the right employees with good programming skills. It enables companies to screen candidates with real programming tests with their web-based tools. Companies like Facebook, Amazon and Flipkart create customized programming tests and evaluate candidates based on their programming skills before an interview and thus save time.
