7 Much Awaited SUVs That Will Hit The Indian Roads in 2014
Ford Endeavour Facelift: Ford showcased its only SUV and the very tough built facelifted Endeavour at the 2014 Auto Expo and the car was tweaked with new features
that include a face similar to that of the Figo and Octogonal air intake, which looks unique with the two piece slat grille. The new car was also spotted with some revised body graphics, which looked better appealing compared to its current models. There are no major upgrades to the interiors except for few electrical and even the powertrain options continue unchanged. Ford revealed that until the next generation Endeavour (based on the Everest concept) is unveiled, this mildly refreshed model will ensure that the SUV will put up a decent fight with rivals, namely, Toyota, Mahindra and Hyundai.
Mahindra Bolero Facelift: The Bolero is India’s largest selling SUV and one of the most preferred cars from
the Mahindra flagship with sales of over 6.5 lakh units. Mahindra has been selling the Bolero in pretty much the same body line with minor changes with the interiors since 2000 and this is strong reason why the company has backed itself to bring in the facelifted version. The updated Bolero is set to sport a redesigned bumpers and wheel arches in order to extend the liking shown by the Indian consumers over the SUV. There are no changes in the mechanical bits and looks like Mahindra is making more than just cosmetic changes to the car. The facelifted vehicle is expected to be powered by the same 2.2-litre mHawk turbo diesel engine delivering 120bhp of power and it could be tweaked for better emissions and fuel efficiency.
