Founder of MobiKwik.com, Bipin Preet Singh graduated as a chemical engineer from IIT Delhi in 2002. When his plans to upgrade educational skills failed, Singh decided to choose the path of entrepreneurship.

The awry thought of prepaid connection holders in India rushing for recharges, gave rise to the idea of starting this venture. Thus, the company has turned out to be an online mobile recharge services provider and in order to get started, Singh invested a seed capital of around 8lakh where most of it went into the setting up of infrastructure, including the website, payment options and renting of office space at Dwarka, Delhi. In February 2012, he launched an e-wallet system, which enables users to deposit money online for facilities like bill payment.
