7 Most Successful Enterprises By IIT Graduates

#6 ThinkLABS

ThinkLABS, a startup venture by two IIT graduates’ used robotics to make learning science easier. As a student of mechanical engineering at IIT Bombay (2000-2004), Gagan Goyal’s interests were particularly in robotics than academics. He says, “I was better in practicals than theory. So in my case, too, the campus was where the entrepreneurial seed took root."

Soon after quitting his job, Goyal put together 1.5 lakh from his savings and asked his juniors to help design a robotic kit. The content was focused on teaching the basics of mechanical engineering to junior college students. By February 2006, they were all-set with the finished product and organized a small programme at the College of Engineering, Pune. Keeping up to the success, Goyal incorporated the company as ThinkLABS Technosolutions.

Soon Gaurav Chaturvedi, his batchmate at IIT-B, became the co-founder and currently, they have 200 schools and 28 colleges in India as clients. They are also hoping to hit 50 Crore mark in the next three years.
