Dhara refined oil is one of the most loved cooking oil manufacturing brands in India. Most of the commercial ads of Dhara was very meaningful and gained much popularity in the Indian Telivision. But the most popular Dhara ad was the ‘Jalebi’ ad.

In this ad, one small kid was on his way to the railway station. He was about to leave home as everyone used to scold him in his home. His grandfather joins him at the railway platform.

Upon asked by the grandfather, the kid replies that he is leaving home. The twist comes in the ad when the grandfather informs him that his Mother has prepared delicious ‘jalebis’ for him in home.

The way, the kid reacted after hearing the word ‘jalebi’ was so innocent that the ad became of the most telecasted ads in the Indian television.

The ad also gained much popularity to 'Parzan Dastur' that even after he reached his teenage, people used to call him as the ‘Dhara Jalebi Boy’.
