Apple kept the diagnosis and illness of Steve Jobs a secret, until he revealed in 2004 that he had been treated for pancreatic cancer. Many believe the health of Steve Jobs is a critical information for stakeholders as they all saw him as the visionary who leads Apple. But his prognosis was repeatedly covered up by Apple. His liver transplant at the Methodist University Hospital in Memphis was revealed after four months when Wall Street Journal leaked the information. Apple always feared anything related to Jobs condition will affect stokes and the fear once went true when Apple shares went down more than five percent following Steve jobs resignation.
