Mount Everest Is the Tallest Mountain in the World

Yes, Mount Everest is a huge mountain, but it not the tallest mountain in the world.

Mount Everest is the tallest only with regards to its elevation form the sea level. But if you consider the height from base to summit as a parameter, Mauna Kea in Hawaii tops its nearest competitor (i.e. Mount Everest) by about 5558 meters.

Though Mauna Kea is only 4,206 meters above the sea level, its combined height is 14,406, which is almost twice the height of Mount Everest (8,848 meters).

The Great Wall of China Is the Only Man-Made Object Visible From Space

It is barely possible to pick out the Great Wall of China from the space, at least not with the naked eye. At some lower altitudes it might be visible, especially with the use of a hefty camera lens, but it's hardly the most visible manmade object form the outer space. Yes, the wall is very long, but the fact that it is only a few meters wide, and the color which almost blends into the surroundings makes it even harder to spot this man-made marvel from space.
