50 global participants at agro-tech fair

CHANDIGARH: A host of international exhibitors, including people from Australia, Germany, China, Japan, Israel and Canada, will take part in an agro technology fair that gets under way here from November 30. At least 50 global participants will display their wares at Agro Tech 2002 that has been organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). The main attractions at the event, on till December 3, will be five expositions -- a poultry expo, a diary expo, a farm expo, an agri-tech expo and food expo. Netherlands is reportedly the partner country and Uttaranchal the partner state. The international exhibitors will display agri products as well as services in the areas of food and beverages, diary, biotechnology, freezers, cutting machines, corporate advisory services and post-harvest systems. Three leading Dutch companies and nine French firms will display their wares. Other countries participating in Agro Tech include Belgium, Poland and Italy.
