2. Margaret "Meg" Whitman

Margaret or popularly known as Meg Whiteman took over the position of CEO in Hewlett-Packard in September 22, 2011 after the company showed the door to Leo Apotheker. Meg Whitman is 55 year old and is an MBA from Harvard. IT research firm Gartner reported that HP’s PC sales grew by 3.5 percent in the first quarter just with seven and half months of Whiteman joining the firm. HP has been stressed in recent years as smartphones and tablets have taken market share from traditional computers and in such scenario Margaret may be is the right person to turn the company fortune around.

3. Patricia Woertz

Patricia Woertz was appointed as the CEO of Archer Daniels Midland on April 27, 2006.  Patricia was the first outsider ever to take the controls of the more-than-100 year old company and she was also the company’s first female CEO. Woertz had to face conflict from senior executives earlier but has since won over her critic. Since Patricia joined ADM, she has stretched its sourcing, transportation and processing networks and delivered strong financial results.
