According to analysts, HP’s woes could be a positive sign for the Indian IT services. But the global outlook is to pull HP from consistently floating, to another mode. Even after $8 billion write-off, the company has brought in stability under Meg Whitman. This year also saw the write-off for the acquisition of EDS in 2008 almost with $8 billion, followed by the acquisition of Autonomy which was $11 billion. The company seems to grip on with the merger of its PC and printer division, as the turnaround would take another four to five years.

Further, HP is on the look out to enter the tablet market. The company has also faced tough decisions to regain its glory in the PC market which it lost to Lenovo. Hope 2013 is a favorable year ahead for believers.
