5 Movements That Awaken Millions Of Indians

Anna Hazare Movement, 2011:

People from across the country regardless of its deep rooted diversity, lined behind an ex-army man called Anna Hazare to protest against the gravest course which the country has been going through--Corruption. The movement spread like wild fires to every nook and corners of the country and the result was seen quite evidently. Anna Hazare’s crusade against corruption began to gain momentum as he began his first hunger strike on April 5, 2011 in New Delhi. Though the recent attempts to go fasting did not draw much attention, this anti-corruption movement is definitely a significant milestone in the history of modern India. Anna Hazare with his Satyagrahas once again showed the world what Gandhism stands for, how powerful it is to bring changes and how relevant is the peaceful revolutionist ideology  to the modern world. The movement provides a common platform to interconnect people of same mindset across globe in Non-Violent way and by keeping peace and solidarity.
