5 Indians among TIME 100 for 2011

5 Indians makes it to Time magazine's 'most influential people in the world' list. The Indians on the Time 100 list are India's Cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the industrialist Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Wipro Azim Premji, Change Agent Aruna Roy and Brain Mapper V.S. Ramachandran. In 2010, there were 10 Indians who made it to the TIME 100 list, they are, Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, Dr Perumalsamy Namperumalsamy, Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, Indian entrepreneur Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, Rahul Singh, the author Chetan Bhagat, Doctor Atul Gwande, Nobel prize winner economist Amartya Sen , Humanitarian worker, Sanjit Bunker Roy, actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The personalities involved in 2010 list failed to make it to the 2011 list.
M.S Dhoni ranked 52nd in the list, under whose leadership India won its first Cricket World Cup in 28 years. Time noted, "Dhoni is now universally acknowledged as India's best captain ever. He's also its most likable, exuding both cool confidence and down-to-earth humility. Dhoni doesn't just lead a cricket team; he's also India's captain of hope. And he didn't just win India the World Cup; he also taught India how to win." His charisma as one of the most successful captain for India has made his way to the list.
