Shubhra Chadda

Started in 2010, Chadda is the co-founder of Chumbak, an online retail store which is focused on India themed souvenirs.  In India, the portal retails out 130 partner stores and 70 in Japan. The Startup also targets to launch 15 Kiosks by end of 2013, and to mark its presence in major airport in India. In February 2013, Chumbak raised undisclosed amount of funding from Seedfund.

Chadda, 32, faced hurdles during the initial stages of her venture, when Chumbak started in 2010 her daughter was two years old. But yet, she was successful in ensuring a steady growth in business. "Right from the start I did not want Chumbak to be a niche business. I wanted it to be a mass brand, which meant keeping prices affordable and scaling it up across the country," says Chadda.
