Tata indigo is credited with the first sedan that came to India in 2002. It gives whooping 25 Kmpl and is suitable for both urban and long drives. Though Maruti replicated ideas of Tata and released Swift Desire, Tata Indigo eCs has its own place in the hearts of its customers.
Indigo eCS is offered in three engine options that include two diesel mills, one is the CR4, 16 valve, DOHC diesel engine and the other one is the TDi BS3 diesel mill.

There are a lot of speculations regarding Nano Diesel.Tata Motors is coming up with a diesel version of Nano in 2013. It has been the most talked about car due to high anticipated fuel economy of 40 Kmpl.
This hatchback is expected to have two cylinders, 700 cc diesel engines and will comfortably seat 4 people. However the company has not come up with any confirmed reports of Nano diesel.
