The airline was first used in 1996, in a film ‘Executive Decision’, where footage was shot with two actual Boeing 747s were used with a different logo. This footage has been reused in numerous films and television shows. The fake airline was created when no actual airlines were ready to get its name associated with hijackings or plane crashes.
