5 Watches that Will Cost You a Fortune

201-karat watch, Chopard:
Second on the list is 201-karat Chopard, which is said to be worth a massive $25 million. This watch by Chopard features three heart-shaped diamonds, the pink -15 carats, the blue -12 carats and the white -11 carats. It looks like a bracelet encrusted with clusters of white pear-shaped diamonds arranged in flower motifs, with a yellow diamond standing up from the center of each. It has 289 pear-shaped diamonds, 139 round diamonds, 443 yellow diamonds, totaling to 874 diamonds in all. It has a total carat weight of 201. This fine colorful, glittery timepiece has a spring-loaded mechanism which, when pressed, allows the three heart shapes to mechanically open up, like the petals of a flower in the sunshine. It is alleged that this piece of fine work was sold in early 2000.

Chopard is a Swiss-based luxury watch, jewellery, and accessories company and was founded in 1860 by Louis-Ulysse Chopard. The company later was bought up by Karl Scheufele III. Under new owners, Chopard established itself in the middle of the 20th century as a benchmark in precision luxury watches.
