1. Shift your thinking:

IT leads always like to boast about their upcoming products. But before starting, one thing that every IT professional need to do is giving the audience a good picture about the product. Start with too much of details, then be prepared to lose control of the meeting. Rick Gilbert, founder of PowerSpeaking, an executive training and coaching firm in California, says that "C-level executives tend to be very bright and can change the timing and the focus of the meeting in an instant. If a mid-level manager goes in and doesn't expect that, they can be completely knocked off base."
