3 Asian Countries Rank High on Global Education List, India Missing

The countries that follow U.K are Netherlands, New Zealand, and Canada. Ireland ranked among the above average group. U.S., Germany and France are in the middle ranked group on the list.

The lowest system of education was found in Mexico, Brazil and Indonesia as per the report.

The comparisons are drawn by tests taken once in every three to four years, in math, science and literary.  When the education systems were examined, the study revealed that having a culture that encourages learning is more crucial than spending on education. It further explains that spending on education can be easily measured but a greater impact is felt on education by the society’s attitude toward it, which makes all the difference.

As seen in case of Asian countries, their high ranking reflects the high value tied to education and the parents’ expectations. And this continues to be a factor even when Asian families migrate to other countries, said the report.

Even in Finland and South Korea the social importance attached to education remains as a factor that yields better education and is also considered essential for shaping morale of students.
