7. Hindalco Industries

The Aditya Birla group established the Hindustan Aluminum Corporation Ltd  in 1958. It was producing 20 million metric tons of aluminum per year in 1962. Now it is the world’s largest aluminum producer in the world.

The turnover of Hindalco is estimated as $ 14 billion. In 2007, Hindalco acquired the Canadian company Novelis and they became the world’s largest producer of rolled aluminium.

Like many other companies in India, Hindalco also has its headquarter in Mumbai.

8. Tata Chemical (TCL)

TCL is one of the main secondary branch of Tata Steels. In 1944, TCL became the second largest producer of soda ash in India.

They have plants located in different places in India like Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh TCL is one of the largest chemical companies and international locations like Kenya, United Kingdom, United States.

With the acquisition of 100 percent stakes in the General Chemical Industrial Products Inc, it became the second largest producer of soda ash in the world.

Its production has extended to chemicals, fertilizers, consumer products, biofuels, cement, pulses and water purifier.
