2 Indian firms amongst world's top tech pioneers
Bangalore: Innovation in the realm of technology has brought two Indian firms to be counted amongst the world's top 15 technology pioneers. Sourabh Jain founded JiGrahak Mobility Solution and Sachin Duggal's Nivio are listed in the World Economic Forum's list of Technology Pioneers 2009. JiGrahak's 'ngpay' is a mass mobile commerce service, whereby consumers anywhere across India can shop, buy tickets, bank, order food, pay bills and more from their mobile handset. Nivio pioneers as the Windows based online desktop, wherein the Delhi-based start-up allows the consumers to create virtual desktops on the web. "It's a whole new way of personal computing, but we are confident that we will have a million users in India alone by 2010," said Duggal, CEO Nivio. Among the other companies who stood firm in the list are the French-based digital security solution provider Advanced Track & Trace Jean and Jeremy Allaire founded Brightcove, an online web platform. Apart from them some of the other companies like Etsy, an online market for handicrafts, multi-player online games provider GameForge and Mint.com- the financial solution provider. Infact, the companies which walked the innovation line in the previous years under the WEF has assumed iconic positions in the current market.
