#10 Perry Chen, CEO, Kickstarter

Perry Chen is the founder and CEO of Kickstarter, the company that provides tools to raise funds for creative projects via crowd funding through its website.

The New York Times called Kickstarter "the people's NEA" (NEA provides venture capital to help innovative entrepreneurs and business leaders) and Time named it one of the "Best Inventions of 2010" and "Best Websites of 2011". Kickstarter reportedly raised $10 million funding from backers including NYC-based venture firm Union Square Ventures and angel investors such as Jack Dorsey, Zach Klein and Caterina Fake.

Many of its tech projects have been game changers like the Pebble smartwatch and the Ouya game console.

#9 Ben Silbermann, cofounder, Pinterest

He is the co-founder and CEO of Pinterest, a virtual pinboard which lets users organize images, recipes and other things. The website allows users to create and manage theme-based image collections such as events, interests, hobbies and more. Users can browse other pinboards for inspiration, 're-pin' images to their own collections and/or 'like' photos.

It came from Silbermann life-long love of collecting things, from insects to stamps.
