During the first 10 days of the inaugural, queues of nearly 50 people formed outside the store. These hopefuls were not trying to get a glimpse of a Bollywood actor or shake hands with a visiting politician. They were waiting for more than an hour to go to Starbucks. "There's excitement among everyone," said Akhil Somani, a 27-year-old Financial Advisor, as he stood in line. "We have our own coffee brands but this one has had a lot of hype," as quoted by TOI.

To make it customer friendly, they build a comfortable atmosphere and small circular tables are used so that they does not seem empty and people dining alone doesn’t feel lonely.  “In environmental psychology, the round table is much more comfortable and informal for individuals, as well as groups of people, to sit at,” says Rubinfeld to Wall street Journal. He adds that “Starbucks will soon be unveiling a new table shape round with one straight edge that allows tables to be pushed together to make room for four people,” as quoted by Womensday.com.
