Pune: Around 12 lakh skilled professionals are required in the field of computer hardware, security and networking in the country, estimates Nasscom. As per the statistics provided by Deepak Kulaskar, zonal head of The Indian Institute of Job Oriented Training (IIJT), the current supply is only 10 percent of the demand.
Despite the growing interest of students in being computer trained especially the programming part but it is hardware, securities and networking which has more opportunities. Moreover, with the Indian hardware sector expecting to touch $62 billion by 2010, makes the demand for professionals more evident.
The main reason for the growing demand and lack of supply is the lack of proper training institutes. IIJT is one such institute which deals in the job oriented training in this field. Apart from it there are a handful like IACM in Kanpur, Jetking and Comnet Univ.
