#3 Hotmail (Now Outlook.com)

One of the first web based service to hit the market, Hotmail was launched in 1996, which later was acquired by Microsoft in 1997 for an amount of $400. The service was later renamed into MSN Hotmail and later Microsoft made it a part of their Windows Live web service. Hotmail is a free web service with features that ranges from one of the best security and anti-span measures. Microsoft also has integrated their other products with Hotmail. Some of the best services of Hotmail includes over 5GB of storage space, a 10MB of attachment size and certain other services that are exclusively for Microsoft users and product holders like SkyDrive and Skype services.

Recently Microsoft announced the launch of Outlook.com, which gradually is all set to replace Hotmail. The preview said that Microsoft have used its latest Metro Design Language for its presentation, and it also comes with new features that no other services can own. This clearly tells that in years to come, Outllook.com is surely to feature as the top email service across the web.
