Ben Lerer, 29 is the co- founder of Thrillist.com, digital lifestyle publication and daily deals for men; currently reaching over 3 million subscribers in 19 localized markets in the U.S and U.K. Thrillist was founded in 2004 by college buddies Ben Lerer and Adam Rich, who graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2003 and shortly after moving to New York City, recognized the need for a city guide that catered to guys like them. Lerer and Rich launched the first ever Thrillist e-mail newsletter in 2005 to 600 friends. In the last year, Lerer was among Crain's "40 under 40" class of 2010, Entrepreneur Magazine's "Top 5 Entrepreneurs of the Year", and Silicon Alley Insider's "100 Coolest People in Tech" for the 4th year running, in addition to being featured on the cover of AdWeek's "Digital Hotshots" Issue and the front page of The New York Times' Business Section. Lerer serves on the Board of Directors for the East River Development Alliance, a New York non-profit organization and is an Associate Member of the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences (IADAS). He is also the co-founder of Lerer Ventures, a New York-based Angel fund investing in media and technology. It has a company valuation of $150 million.
