#1 Select the right apps for the public clouds:

Selecting the right apps in cloud is a major issue for organizations across the globe. The reason- some companies start developing apps using public clouds. Pinterest, a major start up is one such example, who started with all their applications in public cloud.

It’s not easy for all organizations to start their services in public cloud, because the apps that come in public clouds are generally not strict in security requirements. Also most of the default public Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) comes up with adequate security for apps.

#2 Evaluate and add security, if necessary:

This is the part where enterprises should be more careful. CSPs come with different patterns of security which often make enterprises confused on which to opt for. One such example is the ISO/IEC 27000 series of standards which provides organizations with analysis on information, security and impacts.

Organizations who need to move their apps into public clouds must initially verify the standards they provide. Also if possible, it’s better to expand their internal security into the public clouds.
