Bangalore: There were many tech devices that faded away because of poor planning in the making and marketing and rapid evolution of technologies. Here is a list of 10 devices which has created great hopes for the company and the people but finally led to the disappointment of both. You must have used at least some of these so you will know why they are a failure too. These products got busted due to the market competition, lack of consumer demand or just plan crashes. Few did survive for a time but the upcoming technologies grounded them. 1. Laser Disc:

The first commercial optical disc storage medium was two times bigger than the DVD size and was very expensive when compared to VCR tapes. The disc was of good quality. The images were sharp and enhanced with digital audio features. The fragile quality of the disc was the greatest weak point. The double sided thing needed a lot of care while handling. The recording memory was very low, just 30-60 minutes. Only 2 percent of this disc was used in U.S. households. Even the movie studios preferred VHS tapes. The disc became an outdated device even before the DVD boom.
