Unveiled in 2009 by Japan's Institute for Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, HRP-4C has the statistically average height of a female Japanese teenager. This humanoid robot has been designed to play ping pong against its human counterparts. This was originally designed to look like a Japanese cartoon. Overtime, TOPIO has evolved into a super robotic machine that looks more like a tall, fit male with a height of 6’2” and weighs about 250 pounds.
