10 Reasons Why Apple Broke Up with Google
2. YouTube Gets Ditched, Too
Apple also announced recently that the future iPhones will not have embedded YouTube app. According to Apple, its decision to remove native YouTube access was not a result of hard feelings but of its licensing agreement with Google coming to an end.
“Our license to include the YouTube app in iOS has ended, customers can use YouTube in the Safari browser and Google is working on a new YouTube app to be on the App Store,” an Apple spokesperson told The Verge.
1. Apple, Samsung Point Fingers
If in this battle Apple emerges as the winner then this ban could be permanent. And, while it will mostly affect Samsung, Google stands to take a blow as well, because most of the Samsung’s smartphone and tablet offerings run on Google’s Android.
In a way, Google is now finding itself standing in between Apple and Samsung.
