If you use an Apple product, it’s not you who owns the gadget but the other way around. Apple forces you to use its propriety apps for the iPad and iPhone. This can get very frustrating at times. Apple must give its users the liberty to be able to use apps from any platform.

Apple is aggressively against IOS jailbreak, a process of removing the limitations imposed by Apple on devices running the iOS operating system through the use of custom kernels. Apple had previously filed comments opposing an exemption that permits iOS jailbreak and indicated that they did consider jail breaking to be a violation of copyright. Apple's request to define copyright law to include jailbreaking as a violation was denied as part of the 2009 DMCA rulemaking.

So you can distinctly understand apple’s mindset. It is tyrannical in every way though. Thumbs down Apple.
