Provoked

Provoked is a UK based movie directed by Jag Mundhra and the casting includes Aishwarya Rai, Naveen Andrews, Miranda Richardson, Robbie Coltrane, Nandita Das and Steve McFadden. This 2007 film which got mixed response from movie critics took motive from the real life of a Punjabi woman Kiranjit Ahluwalia, who burned her husband to death. The character of Ahluwalia played by Aishwarya ends up in jail for murdering her abusive husband.
